About

This Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries-approved Louisiana Online Boating Course is an alternative to the 6 to 8-hour in-person course. We recommend every boater to take a boater education course. However, if you were born after January 1, 1984, then you MUST successfully complete a Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries-approved to operate a motorboat over 10 horsepower unless you are accompanied by someone over age 18 who has successfully completed a Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries-approved boater education course if required. The course is accredited by NASBLA. Upon completion, you will receive a digital certificate and your certification will be attached to your Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries account.
